Heated bistro chair cushion: a cushion that fits rattan

A heated bistro chair cushion for rattan chairs with a rounded back and narrow seat. This is how you keep them warm without losing their character.

A heated bistro chair cushion is trickier than it seems. The rattan bistro chair is the face of many terraces, yet it is precisely this chair that is hard to keep warm: a standard cushion does not fit the rounded back and slides around on the narrow seat. In this article you will read what to look out for and which cushion does fit.

Why a bistro chair needs its own cushion

The classic Parisian bistro chair has a curved woven back and a relatively narrow seat. A straight cushion stands away from it, looks untidy and slides off as soon as a guest shifts position. What is more, you want the weave to remain visible: it is a large part of the atmosphere of your terrace.

The heated bistro chair cushion: Paris

The Paris cushion from HeatUup is made for the classic bistro chair. It follows the rounded back and leaves the weave visible at the sides. Both the seat and the back are heated. The result looks like an ordinary, well-fitting chair cushion, with warmth inside.

The same warmth as the other models

Paris has the same battery as the Olefin cushion: up to 8 hours of warmth on the highest setting, 45 degrees. The guest chooses the setting. The fabric is olefin with a waterproof TPU coating, so the cushion can withstand a shower and dries quickly. After closing time, the batteries go into the charging station, ten per station.

Colours that suit rattan

Paris is available in blue, red and sand. Red and blue go well with the classic red and white or blue and white weave. Sand suits natural rattan and terraces with a calm, light look. Choose the colour that matches your awning, parasols or house style.

Combining bistro chairs with other chairs

Do you also have stacking chairs or lounge seating alongside your bistro chairs? Then combine Paris with Olefin or Sheepskin. All models use the same battery and the same charging station, so it makes no difference to your team.

What to look out for when choosing

Before you order, check that your chairs are the classic model: a curved woven back and a seat of around 40 centimetres wide. If in doubt, send a photo of your chair with your request. Also consider how often the chairs are stacked. The cushion stays on the chair, but take it off when you stack the chairs at night. That way the cushion stays looking good for longer. Finally, count the number of bistro chairs you want to keep outside during the cold season. That determines how many cushions and charging stations you need.
