Who we are

jemtec.nl and en.jemtec.nl are websites of Jemtec B.V., Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 97997951, reachable at info@jemtec.nl. Jemtec B.V. is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this statement.

What data we process

When you fill in the form, we process the name of your business, the town or city, your name, phone number, email address, the number of seats, your current patio heating and your comments.

For what purpose

We only use this data to contact you about your request: a trial, a quote or a question. The legal basis is your consent. Your request is also shared with HeatUup, the manufacturer of the cushions, where this is necessary for delivery or the trial.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address and, if you provide it, your name. We send you an email roughly once a month with tips on patio heating and news from Jemtec. The legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every newsletter or by emailing info@jemtec.nl.

Processors

To send the newsletter and manage contact details we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris). Brevo processes the data within the European Union and only on our instructions. The website is hosted by SiteGround. For advertising we work with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.

How long

We keep requests for a maximum of two years. If you become a customer, we keep the data required for the agreement and our accounts for as long as the law requires.

Cookies and statistics

We anonymously track how often pages are viewed, for how long and how far visitors scroll. We do not store IP addresses or any other data that can be traced back to you; it only concerns counts per page per day. No cookies are needed for this. To prevent misuse of the forms and measurements, we keep an encrypted code of your IP address and email address for a maximum of 24 hours, separately from the counts and the requests.

Only if you give consent via the cookie banner do we load the Meta pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It places cookies and tells Meta which pages you visit and whether you send a request. We use this to measure which ads on Facebook and Instagram work and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. With the same consent we load the Google tag from Google Ireland Ltd. It places cookies and tells Google whether you came via an ad on Google and whether you then send a request. We only use this to measure which Google ads work. Your choice is stored in your browser. You can withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

If you arrive at our website via an ad on Facebook or Instagram and send a request, we report that request to Meta without cookies as well, so that we can see which ad led to a request. We only pass on the click code from the ad link, your IP address, the type of browser and the type of request, never your name, email address or phone number. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in accounting for our advertising costs. You can object via info@jemtec.nl.

If you arrive via a link with a tag, for example from an ad, we store that tag (such as "meta / trial / A1") with your request. That way we know which ad led to your request.

Advertising on Facebook and Instagram

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram to hospitality business owners. For this we may offer business contact details (email address and phone number) of hospitality venues and trade fair visitors to Meta in encrypted form, so that our ads reach those businesses. Meta only uses the encrypted data to match it and deletes it afterwards. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in bringing our services to the attention of business owners for whom they are relevant. If you do not want this, email info@jemtec.nl and we will no longer include your details.

Quotes

If you request a quote, we draw it up automatically using the details from the form and send you a personal link. Only people with that link can view the quote.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (https). Requests are stored outside the public part of the web server.

Your rights

You may view, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent. Email info@jemtec.nl to do so. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
